Sea of Trash.
Plastic Sculptures.
Context
There is too much plastic floating in our oceans. We know this yet we fail to do enough as a society.
We wanted to delve into this critical issue of ocean pollution, transforming ocean waste into series of evocative scupltures, seeking to result in more positive action.
Concept
Our creatures are not simply impacted by trash but are completely consumed by it. Their entire bodies are replaced by bottle cabs, shards of plastic and fishing nets.
By creating coral infested with trash to sea life sculptures from discarded materials such as plastic debris, fishing nets, and other refuse, the images seek to highlight the alarming extent of marine pollution and create a lasting impact on the viewer.
