Challenge

This weekend sees the launch of the sixth edition of the Online Gallery Magazine, highlighting the city of Chicago, Illinois. Working alongside our sister company Rosie Lee Creative, we continue our role as designers of the magazine!

“The Online Gallery (The OG) is a digital platform and print magazine that focuses on the intersection of all creative sectors, anchored by contemporary art, and filtered through the editorial lens of curators, artists and community organizers. The mission to create space and support for emerging and established voices across the spectrum is made possible because our community is our content.”


This edition coincides with this weekends Chicago Expo 2022, peeling back the layers of how and why, yielding responses as divergent and innovative as the visionaries featured in this issue. In an era that remains hysterically devoted to facade, Edition Six - Process & Practice -delves deep into the foundations and blueprints of the feature creatives, celebrating the processes and practices that bring visions to life.

Approach

The talented list of creatives that feature in the magazine form the inspiration for our experimental layout design, influencing colour and typographic choices. Our designs encapsulate the charististics of each creative and their work, orchestrating the pace and emotion of the magazine, ultimately creating an exciting and varied design aesthetic.
